Sealyham terrier named Stache emerges victorious at the National Dog Show

The 2023 National Dog Show Best in Show winner is a Sealyham terrier named Stache. Stache, a cream-colored male with long hair, beat out six other finalists at the annual canine competition. The event was hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia and broadcast by NBC on Thanksgiving Day. Stache's handler, Margery Good, expressed her delight at his performance, stating that he stretched his little legs and hands and flew around the ring. Stache defeated a group of dogs that included a German shepherd, a Great Dane, a Chesapeake Bay retriever, a Shih Tzu, and an Azawakh. The second-place winner was a Dalmatian named Pumpkin. Over 2,000 dogs from more than 200 breeds and varieties participated in the show. Stache, whose registered name is GCHP Goodspice Efbe Money Stache, resides in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania. He was previously ranked as the No. 2 Terrier and No. 12 All-Breed show dog in America and has won 49 Best in Show prizes. The Sealyham terrier is described by the American Kennel Club as brave, spirited, and not as spiky as other small terriers.
